Writing for Podcasts Workshop

  • Digital Arts Resource Centre (Workshop Room A158) 67 Nicholas Street Ottawa, ON Canada (map)

Presented in partnership with the National Capital Scriptwriting Institute (NCSI), “Introduction to Podcast Writing” looks at how podcasts are created and help students develop the skills needed to craft engaging, dynamic audio storytelling. From structuring episodes and writing compelling scripts to shaping voice, tone, and pacing, this class explores how words come alive when spoken and heard. You’ll learn techniques for narrative and conversational writing, adapt content for different podcast formats, and practice transforming ideas into scripts that captivate listeners. By the end, students will have the tools to write with clarity, creativity, and confidence for the podcast medium.
