ARTS COURT VENUE RENTALS

With 4 theatres, 7+ studios, conference rooms and more, Arts Court provides hundreds of clients with venue space for arts events, workshops, conferences, and performances each year. 

Organizations including the Ottawa Fringe Festival, Ottawa Arts Council, Ottawa Dance Directive (ODD), SAW Gallery, and Digital Arts Resource Centre (DARC) manage these spaces while also providing programming year round.


Arts Court Theatre

120 - 140 seats

Arts Court Theatre is a multi-occasion performance venue. This black box theatre space is fully outfitted with professional sound and lighting capabilities suitable for theatre and concert performances as well as dance, workshop, conferences, screening presentations. Arts Court Studio Black Box

Arts Court's Black Box Studio boasts of high ceilings, a fully equipped lighting grid for professional live performances, and a uniquely sized capacity for intimate receptions, presentations and conferences. As a highly flexible space, the Black Box Studio can be used as a reception area for Arts Court Theatre or be utilized as a separate event space. Managed by the Ottawa Fringe. Arts Court Courtroom

Arts court atelier

Room Dimensions: 19 feet x 34 feet

The Library Studio offers a black box space for rehearsals, meetings, and talks for smaller groups as well as a lighting grid for tech rehearsals and minimal style performances. Book your next one-person show here!


Club SAW

Indoor capacity: 289 standing (125 seated)

Outdoor courtyard capacity: 250 (150 on paved area; 100 on landscaped area)

An electrifying venue for new music, independent film and video, experimental theatre and so much more, Club SAW is equipped with a licensed bar, a deployable pop-up gallery, a green room for performers, an accessible stage, all-gender washrooms and an outdoor courtyard completely renovated for the presentation of summer festivals and events. All rentals include full access to in-house audiovisual, lighting and projection equipment, as well as access to ancillary spaces, including a green room and a coat-check room.


Micaela Fitch Room

15 boardroom seats, 35 row seats

A beautiful meeting space for seminars, meetings, art openings, auditions and presentations. Small kitchenette, guest Wi-Fi, and AV equipment available.


ODD BOX

25’ x 40’, 50 seats 

An intimate black box performance space for dance, theatre, music, and film screenings with lighting grid and instruments, black curtains, sound system, marley and sprung floor.


ODD STUDIO B

25’ x 45’ 

A dance studio with sprung floor and mirrors available to professionals and recreational dance and physical theatre groups in the evenings and weekends.


DARC Editing Suites

DARC membership is required for access.

This suite features DaVinci Resolve Studio, FCPX, Adobe CC Master Collection and more running on a 2017 iMac Pro. The suite enables members to edit from 4K, and HD to finish their projects in a professional environment.


DARC Recording Studio

DARC membership is required for access.

Consists of two adjoining soundproofed spaces, the recording booth and the control room. iMac computer with audio and video editing software, audio interfaces, display options, microphones, headphones and surround sound speaker capabilities.


DARC MICROCINEMA

DARC membership is required for access.

The DARC Microcinema is a small-scale community cinema for up to 50 guests that offers independent filmmakers and media artists a space to publicly screen their work for free.


ALMA DUNCAN SALON AT OTTAWA ART GALLERY

The new Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) facilities are attached to the Arts Court building; sharing spaces, interior and exterior entrances, and artistic programming.

The University of Ottawa Department of Theatre's LabO is attached to the Arts Court facilities.
