Fleeting Moments: studies in being human

With Fleeting Moments: studies in being human, choreographer Jane Mappin joins forces with cellist and composer Erich Kory for an eleventh collaboration. The work explores the shifting landscape of memory: how fragments of lived experience are coloured and given new life by our imaginations and by what we have been told, but how our bodies, witness to everything, never forget. The trio celebrates the resilience inherent in each of us, and is an intimate reflection on what it means to be human.

Fleeting Moments: studies in being human marque la onzième collaboration entre la chorégraphe et interprète Jane Mappin et le violoncelliste Erich Kory. Ils s’engagent dans une exploration profonde de la mémoire humaine et de ses distorsions. Les souvenirs déformés, l’imagination et la mémoire corporelle indélébile abordent la complexité des récits intérieurs. La pièce propose une réflexion intime et sincère sur l’être humain, ainsi que sur la résilience qui se trouve au cœur de chaque personne.
