Scribblin' in the Margins: BIPOC Slam, ft. Desiree Mckenzie

  • Arts Court Atelier (map)

Join us Thursday April 6th, 2023 in the Arts Court Atelier Studio for the second iteration of our new slam series: Scribblin’ in the Margins, featuring the amazing Desiree Mckenzie and hosted by Zoey Roy! This event will be a poetry slam, with a short open mic at the start of the show, with sign ups open specifically to Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) artists. BIPOC centred spaces amplify and celebrate the voices of BIPOC folks, resisting erasure and fostering community and solidarity. Everyone is welcome to attend as an audience member. ULPC has lots of other open sign-up events throughout the year for others looking to share their work.

Doors open at 7:00pm EST and show starts at 7:30 SHARP!

This event is Pay What You Can, with a suggested donation of $10. Ticket sales are now open on Eventbrite at the link below. Note that this event is limited capacity, separate tickets must be bought for every attendee so we know how many people to expect, and be sure to get your tickets early to ensure you've got a spot reserved.
