The Summit is an opportunity for Nunavut and Inuit performing artists (musicians, actors, dancers, storytellers) to discuss how the performing arts is a tool to sustain Inuit language and culture. Performances at the Qaggiavuut Summit will include a new dramatic work based on the legend of Sedna by Inuit artists in Iqaluit. Other performances and discussions will include Tununuq Theatre from Pond Inlet, the longest-running Inuit theatre group in Canada, Huqqulaaqatigiit, a traditional Ualiningmiut drum group from Cambridge Bay and Maori Haka dancers from New Zealand.
