Every artist holds the power to do something bigger with their work - to tell a story that leaves an impact on anyone who encounters it.
On May 11th, two speakers will share the ways they incorporate storytelling into their own work. As a children’s book illustrator, Gillian Reid uses dynamic illustrations and character design to tell a visual story, leaving valuable impressions on young minds. On the other hand, Melanie Yugo uses the power of storytelling to elevate racialized voices in her zines and prints, illuminating truths and bringing together communities.
