The Digital Arts Resource Centre’s Knot Project Space is thrilled tEvent Link invite you to Christina Battle’s Notes to Self. A few selections of her Notes will be projected onto Les Suites Hotel in front of Artscourt (2 Daly Ave), on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from November 19th to December 18th (5-8pm).

Join us outdoors, in a socially distanced way, this upcoming Thursday (Nov 19th) from 5-8pm to open the show! Christina will be in attendance at 5pm, via zoom! Bring your own refreshments.

Notes to Self is an ongoing series of videos documenting a simple, repetitive act as a way to mimic our fleeting engagement with social media status updates. The notes, which range from humourous reminders and revelations to recollections about larger societal events, ask of us to critically consider the multiple ways in which we take part.

Christina Battle (Edmonton) has exhibited internationally in festivals and galleries as both artist and curator; most recently at: Latitude 53 (Edmonton), The John & Maggie Mitchell Gallery (Edmonton), Harbourfront Centre with SHATTERED MOON ALLIANCE (Toronto), Capture Photography Festival (Vancouver); Forum Expanded at the Berlinale (Berlin), Blackwood Gallery (Mississagua), and Trinity Square Video (Toronto). Her work and research are situated around her recently completed PhD dissertation: Disaster as a Framework for Social Change: Searching for new patterns across plant ecology and online networks (2020).
