European Union Film Festival (EUFF) 2025

The European Union Film Festival (EUFF) celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2025 — four decades of showcasing the best of European cinema in Canada. Presented by the Canadian Film Institute, the Delegation of the European Union to Canada, and the participating EU Member States, this year’s milestone edition features one film from each of the 27 EU countries, plus a special benefit screening from Ukraine in solidarity with its people.

Screenings will take place in person from November 14 to 29 at the Ottawa Art Gallery’s Alma Duncan Salon. A selection of 14 festival films will also be available to audiences across Canada online from December 1 to 15, allowing viewers nationwide to experience the richness and diversity of European storytelling.
