LBMT proudly presents this Tony Award-winning classic, filled with toe-tapping tunes, witty humor, and a heartwarming story that will sweep you off your feet. Join us on a whirlwind adventure that follows the lives of two unlikely couples, each on a quest for love and redemption.

Meet Nathan Detroit, a loveable but scheming gambler, desperate to find a secret location for his infamous “floating crap game.” To secure the funds he needs, he bets the charismatic and suave Sky Masterson that he can’t woo the pious and dedicated Sarah Brown, a Salvation Army sergeant, to join him for a night out in Havana. The stakes are high as Sky takes the bet, not knowing that he may find more than just a simple conquest in Sarah.

Meanwhile, Miss Adelaide, Nathan’s long-suffering fiancée of 14 years, dreams of settling down and finally having a “normal” life with him. But when her chronic cold worsens due to the stress of their relationship, she begins to question whether this big-time gambler will ever truly change.

Filled with unforgettable melodies like “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” and “Adelaide’s Lament,” Guys and Dolls is a true musical treasure that celebrates the power of love and the triumph of the human spirit.

Join us for a dazzling afternoon or evening of song, dance, and laughter as these colourful characters navigate the highs and lows of romance, loyalty, and the irresistible allure of the Big Apple. Spatial Storytelling Workshop

This two-day workshop is meant to inspire creators to seek out new methods of storytelling that better leverage emerging technologies. Through a combination of theory presentation, case studies, group/individual activities, and discussion, we will explore the core facets of spatial storytelling and learn how to apply them in your writing process.

Interest in immersive storytelling is in a resurgence not seen since the heyday of transmedia, brought about—in no small part—thanks to advances in technology. With the advent of 360° filmmaking, AR/VR, and spatial computing, storytellers face new challenges in creating content that resonates with their audience. Tackling these unknowns is exciting and can lead to innovations in storytelling – and a solid understanding of what differentiates this new frontier from traditional media will benefit creators immensely.

s5 iteration one: Familial Roots

Come out and celebrate the start of our fifth season with an evening of poetry, prose, music and film. The concept of this iteration builds from the importance of family in Asian cultures, the tensions between blood family and the family we come to choose.

This May, Ellen Chang-Richardson brings together two creators from the pan-Asian diaspora and two creators, not, whose works deal with the notion of family — roots, lineages and futures — to deepen and expand this conversation of intersectional familial relationships and the boundaries, blurred and distinct, between eastern and western understandings.

Wayne Ng and Jean Van Loon will present in-person readings, ViNa will stream in with a live performance from Treaty 6 and 7 territories, and we will screen Desmond Simon's Mitata | Grandfather followed by a live Q&A via video stream.

Concert Taqsim Driver

Voyage, voyage...
